These terms are an agreement between you and Joshua Fish, a sole trader trading as JOB (ABN 45 223 279 248), "we" or "us". By creating an account or subscribing you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use JOB.
What JOB does
JOB finds job postings that match the profile and rules you set, shows them to you, and for the roles you choose, applies on your behalf. To apply it prepares a tailored CV or resume, a cover letter where one is asked for, and answers to the employer's application questions, using the information you give us.
JOB is software, not a recruitment or employment agency. We don't act for employers, we don't charge placement fees, and we can't promise that any application leads to an interview or a job. Hiring decisions are made by employers alone.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One account per person. Accounts can't be shared or resold.
Applying on your behalf
By choosing roles to apply for, you authorise us to submit applications to those employers, through their websites or applicant tracking systems, in your name and with your information.
- Your information must be true. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, CV and answers. Check what JOB prepares, especially answers about your work rights, salary expectations and experience. Don't ask us to submit anything false or misleading.
- AI-generated content. CVs, cover letters and answers are drafted with the help of AI models. They can contain mistakes. Review them in your dashboard; you can correct your saved answers at any time.
- Employers' terms apply too. Each employer and job board has its own terms and privacy policy, which apply to the application you send them.
- We may pause or skip applications that look wrong, break an employer's rules, or would harm your reputation or ours.
Subscription and payment
- JOB is a paid subscription, billed weekly in advance through our payment provider, Stripe. The price is shown before you pay.
- Your subscription renews automatically each week until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your dashboard settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the week you have paid for.
- We may change the price. We'll tell you by email at least 14 days before a new price applies, and you can cancel before then.
- Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
Acceptable use
Don't use JOB to:
- apply in someone else's name, or with information that isn't yours;
- spam employers, or break the rules of the job boards and websites we apply through;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service;
- break the law or anyone else's rights.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we close your account without a good reason under these terms, we'll refund any unused part of your current week.
Your content
You own your CV, profile and answers. You give us permission to store, process and adapt them only to run JOB for you, including sending them to the employers you choose. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees, which can't be excluded.
Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows:
- JOB is provided "as is". We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any job posting is accurate or still open.
- We aren't liable for employers' decisions, for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost opportunities or income.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account in your settings. We may end the service with 30 days' notice by email, refunding any unused paid time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we'll email you before it takes effect. Continuing to use JOB after that means you accept the new terms.
